What is the Blazer Bench?
The Blazer Bench is a customizable aluminum extrusion workbench kit based off the T-Slot system. T-slots are common in industry, but haven’t been applied in workshop and garage use. Standard Issue’s Blazer Bench system is designed by a mechanical engineer / garage hobbyist who was looking for a durable custom kit system to elevate their home garage. After many iterations, the system stands out due to its integrated panel slots, strengthened connection points, strong aluminum alloy selection, neat ‘show’ face, and high quality industrial grade powder coating.
Stay tuned for some awesome improvements to be rolled out of our garage to yours.
Where is it made?
Our aluminum extrusion products are manufactured in the Northeast USA. Once extruded, the raw stock is cut to size, machined, and deburred before finished (anodized or powder coated). We then careful package and pre-populate fasteners to enhance user experience. Everything is then boxed and shipped out to you.
What is “T-Slot Extrusion”?
These slots allow for easy assembly by sliding
in compatible fasteners, connectors, and
accessories without the need for welding or
drilling. Commonly used systems can be found in industry for workstation, machine guarding, robotic cells, fixturing, shelving, and much more.
What can the Blazer Bench be used for?
The Blazer Bench is perfect for a workbench in your garage or shop. It can be used to hold tools, 3D printers, Laser cutters, anything really you can think of! It also has a lot of storage options as well. The launch of our first size is to get off the ground, but expect to see more sizes coming soon for things like outfeed tables, miter stations, enclosed cabinets, shelving systems, drawer systems and much more!
Since Standard Issue doesn’t offer a top at this point, can you recommend one?
We are working hard to get our Top options launched soon, and think they are going to be the best option once complete, but there is still some fine tuning to do. Until then, we have compiled a short list of a few options:
